- February 22, 2010=former Partner and SJTP & A Alumni, Christopher B. Morozin, was named an Associate Judge for the Circuit Court of Lake County, Illinois. - 10/19/2009= SJTP&A Partner and Alum, the Honorable Jorge Ortiz, has announced his candidacy to retain his Lake County Circuit Court Judge position. http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=328885.
- May '09= SJTP& A celebrates its 26th and 28th year as the respective Village Attorneys and Prosecutors for the Village of Fox Lake and Village of Lindenhurst. The Firm was first appointed by the Village in May '81. The Firm's Managing Partner Howard R. Teegen is the Village Attorney and Associate Jeffery Nutschnig is the Head Prosecutor for both Fox Lake and the Village of Lindenhurst.
- May '09= SJTP& A celebrates its 26th year as the Village attorneys and Prosecutors for the Village of Fox Lake The Firm was first appointed by the Village in May '83. Firm Associate Jeffery Nutsching is the Village's Head Prosecutor.
- June, '09= SJTP& A attorney's Paul P. Phillips and Julio C. Argueta settled a personal injury suit for $1,250,000.00 million on behalf of a 72 year old male motorcyclist hit by a car injuring his head, neck and back.
- March 2009= SJTP& A Attorney Julio C. Argueta settled in a pre-suit mediation, a Wisconsin Wrongful Death Lawsuit for $500,000.00 on behalf of the Estate of Minor girl who died while in the care of a State Boarding School. The settlement, in light of the case's potential medical malpractice liability component, was the maximum amount recoverable as a consequence of the State of Wisconsin's statutory monetary limits for such Medical Malpractice suits.
- 1/1/2009= SJTP& A is pleased to announce that Junior Partner Julio C. Argueta has been named a full Equity Partner by the firm's Managing Partners. Mr. Argueta, who has been with the firm since 2003 and as a Junior Partner since 2005, manages the Firm's Criminal Defense team and it's Waukegan Office.
- On July 10, 2008, SJTP& A Attorney's Paul P. Phillips, Julio C. Argueta and David J. Bawcum, filed a Wrongful Death Lawsuit in the Cook County Circuit Court on behalf of the Estate of a North Chicago man died while riding as a passenger in a vehicle that was rear ended by a tractor-trailer truck which crushed the vehicle.
- 2008= SJTP& A Partner and Alum, the Honorable Jorge Ortiz, has been elevated by the Illinois Supreme Court to Circuit Judge for the Circuit Court of Lake County, Illinois. Judge Ortiz, appointed in 2002, is the Circuit Court of Lake County's first appointed Latino Judge. http://judgeortiz.com/

- 42 year old female with severe knee injury requiring fusion surgery due to fall on stairs to restaurant

- 73 year old female pedestrian with head trauma and back injuries following collision with car in restaurant parking lot
- 31 year old female with a Herniated disk in neck requiring fusion surgery -following automobile accident
- Two 46 year old females pedestrians hit by truck with multiple severe internal injuries and fractures
- Male, as an innocent bystander, lost his eye when patron hit him in the face with a bottle after a fight broke out in bar. The Lawsuit is against the establishment under the Dram Shop Act and for understaffing its security.
- Female, 58, injured at work after falling down 15 concrete steps requiring both a cervical disk and lumbar disk fusion and surgical intervention for a torn rotator cuff.
- Male 55, injured at work after lifting a 150 pound generator requiring a L3-L4 lumbar laminectomy
- Female, 25, attacked by dog, bitten in back of knee resulting in nerve and knee damage.
- Male, 6, attacked and bitten by dog resulting in puncture several wounds
